United Buyers Group® (UBG®) is dedicated to the fireplace and outdoor living industry. We unite a network of 400+ specialty fireplace and outdoor living stores, as well as chimney professionals, across the United States and Canada. Formed in 2000, UBG has grown into the largest group of its kind representing independent businesses specializing in fireplaces, BBQ and outdoor living.
UBG is aligned with many of the best manufacturers and service providers in the industry. We treat our partnerships with suppliers as central to the success of the group and of our members, which is why we work just as hard to help our supplier partners grow their own market share.
Our coverage of North America’s rural and urban markets gives those suppliers something rare: products professionally represented, sold and installed in homes on both sides of the border. And the combined volume our members generate earns them exclusive benefits that no single store could negotiate, while giving our partners the support of the largest group of quality independent retailers in North America.
Our Members

We accept membership applications from professional business owners who have more than a storefront: a showroom open to the public, years of experience, and a strong reputation in their local market. Every member puts that knowledge and expertise to work for the homeowner from end to end — choosing the right hearth or grill appliance, installing it properly, and standing behind it afterward.

UBG strives to unite specialty fireplace and outdoor living dealers so they can increase their profitability, secure unique protected product lines, and belong to a group of passionate dealers who care about each other and about the industry. We strive just as hard to be the best conduit for select supplier partners to connect with the finest dealer network in North America, helping them bring their products to market, gain share and grow.
We aim to elevate members and supplier partners alike, through relationships always built on honesty, mutual trust and respect. Facilitating the triangular relationship between supplier partners, members and UBG creates a synergy in which all three prosper far more than any of them could alone.
